Overhead Split Squat - January 25, 2010 by FitStash

 

The overhead split squat is an excellent exercise to work you lower body while also engaging your core for stability and balance.  You can use your arms alone as weight, dumbblls,  or a lifting bar alone or with added weight.  Take a look at the link and tell us what you think.

Are you in a race to get your workout in?  Slow down and work through a full range of motion for full benefits.

Slow full range movements are not only beneficial for functional living they also work more muscle fibers.  If an exercise is done too quickly there is typically a higher risk for injury. 

Take your time, use proper technique and see results faster.
